What This Site Is
This site describes the services offered by US Utility Potholing & Air Excavation and lets you request a quote. Nothing on it is an offer, a quote, or a contract. Pricing shown is indicative only and subject to site conditions, scope and access. Work is performed only under a separate written proposal or contract signed by both parties, and that document controls if it conflicts with anything here.
Important Limits on Utility Locating and Potholing
This section matters more than the rest. Please read it.
811 Is Still Required
Our work supplements, and never replaces, your obligation under Florida Statute Chapter 556 to notify Sunshine State One Call before excavating.
Locating Is Horizontal Only
Electromagnetic locating and GPR establish horizontal position. Depth from a locator is an estimate and is not a measurement.
Depth Comes From Test Holes
Verified depth, diameter and material come only from an exposed utility at a vacuum-excavated test hole — ASCE 38-02 Quality Level A.
No Method Finds Everything
Unmarked, abandoned, non-conductive and deeply buried utilities may not be detectable. Marks are accurate to the conditions and methods on the day of the work.
Field markings are temporary. They degrade with weather, traffic and time, and we are not responsible for marks that have been disturbed, covered or relied on after they are no longer legible. Excavating near any marked or unmarked utility remains the excavator’s responsibility, including the use of appropriate safe-digging practice.
Information on This Site
We work to keep the site accurate, but it is provided for general information. Technical explanations of ASCE 38-02, APWA conventions, 811 and excavation methods are summaries, not engineering advice, and should not be relied on in place of a qualified professional or the governing standard itself. We make no warranty that the site is complete, current or error-free.
Use of the Site
You may view, print and share pages for your own business purposes. You may not scrape the site, republish its content as your own, misrepresent your identity when submitting the form, submit false information, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the site.
Intellectual Property
The text, photographs, graphics, logos and layout of this site are owned by US Utility Potholing & Air Excavation and protected by copyright and trademark law. The field photographs are of our own crews and equipment. You may not reuse them commercially without written permission.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, US Utility Potholing & Air Excavation is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this website, including reliance on information published here. This clause concerns the website. Liability for services we actually perform is governed by the signed contract or proposal for that work, which is where our insurance, indemnity and limitation terms live.

You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of this site or your breach of these terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to this website will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Broward County, Florida.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
