US Utility Potholing & Air Excavation (“we”, “us”) operates usutilitypotholing.com. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers this website only — information you give us by phone, email or on a job site is handled under the same principles but is not collected through this site.
Information You Give Us
The only place this site asks for information is the quote request form. When you submit it we receive:
Contact Details
First and last name, company name, job title, phone number and email address.
Project Details
Service needed, project county, site address or location, project scope, desired start date, and how you heard about us.
Files You Attach
Optional plan sets or site documents — PDF, DWG, JPG or PNG, up to 10 MB each.
We ask for this so we can quote your work and get back to you. We do not require an account, and the site does not sell anything or take payment.
Information Collected Automatically
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful. It sets cookies in your browser and records approximate location (city level, derived from IP address), device and browser type, the pages you view, how you arrived, and events such as tapping a phone number link. Google processes this data on our behalf; their handling is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Our host, Netlify, also keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, for security and reliability.
Cookies
The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics. They are used to tell repeat visits from new ones and to measure how pages perform. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of our own, and the site sets no cookies for logins or preferences.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on. Doing so does not affect your ability to use the site or submit a quote request.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. It reaches only:
- Netlify — hosts the site and processes form submissions on our behalf.
- Google — Analytics, and Fonts, which loads typefaces when your browser renders a page.
- Cloudflare (cdnjs) — serves the icon library used on the site.
- Our email provider — form submissions arrive as email to our business address.
We may also disclose information if required by law, a subpoena, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How Long We Keep It
Quote requests are kept as business records for as long as needed to respond, perform the work, and meet tax, insurance and contractual obligations — typically several years. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
Your Choices
Email ethan@ususllc.com or call (954) 849-2859 and we will:
- tell you what information we hold from your enquiry,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete it, unless we are required to keep it for a legal or contractual reason.
We will not charge you or make it difficult. Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights; tell us what you are asking for and we will honor it where the law requires.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal information — social security numbers, bank or card details — through the quote form. We will never ask for those by email.
Children
This site serves contractors, engineers, municipalities and property owners. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced individually.
